Terms and Conditions

‘LOCOG’ means The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited.

1.    This promotion is open to residents of Ireland (Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland) only, excluding employees of Coca-Cola Ireland, Coca-Cola Hellenic Ireland Limited, Cocal-Cola Hellenic Northern Ireland Ltd, their agents and anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion and/or with the London 2012 Olympic Games.

2.    All entrants must be aged 16 years or over. Winners under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or a person aged 18 years or over.

3.    The promotion starts and entries can be made from Wednesday 4th April

4.    Closing date for entries is midnight on Thurs 12 April 2012 (for event participants at Sligo and Antrim), and midnight on Thurs 19th April (for event participants in Cork & Dublin).

5.    Competition Entrants are competing for a chance to win one of four Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience prizes.

6.    Entry to the competition is via the Official Entry form which can be downloaded from the promotion page on www.powerade.ie/onyourmarks and emailed to competitions@powerade.com    

7.    Competition entrants are required to compete in one 100m race at one regional Powerade Ireland On Your Marks event to be eligible for placement into the prize draw for a chance to win the Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience prize.

8.    The Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience Campaign (Ireland) consists of the following stages:
a.    Stage 1 – Entry
b.    Stage 2 – Powerade Ireland On Your Marks Qualification Event
c.    Stage 3 – Winner Notification
d.    Stage 4 – Participation

Stage 1 – Entry

9.    Entry can be made by completing the ‘Powerade Ireland On Your Marks’ Entry Form downloaded from the official Powerade Ireland website (www.powerade.ie/onyourmarks) and emailed to competitions@powerade.ie

10.    The closing date for all entries is midnight on Thurs 12 April 2012 (for event participants at Sligo and Antrim), and midnight on Thurs 19th April (for event participants in Cork & Dublin).


11.    In submitting the Official Entry Form, the entrant hereby agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive, sub-licensable and worldwide right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, make available to the public, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to their participation worldwide and/or to incorporate this information or content in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in their nomination, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in the Coca-Cola Privacy Policy (please see here). If individuals do not want to grant the Promoter the rights set out above, please do not submit an entry.

12.    By submitting any information required as part of their entry into the campaign, entrants agree to their information being held and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Stage 2 –Qualification Event:

13.    Competition entrants are required to attend one of four qualifying “Powerade Ireland On your Marks” (OYM) 100m race events. On arrival at the Event, participants must register their attendance, collect an official Powerade Race Number and particiapte in one qualifying 100m race:
i.    Ulster: 14th April                 Antrim Forum, Lough Road, Antrim, BT41 4DQ
ii.    Connaught:14th April    Sligo Institute of Technology, Knocknarea Arena,              Ballinode, Sligo
iii.    Munster: 22nd April              Cork Institute of Technology, Bishopstown, Cork
iv.    Leinster: 21st April               Morton Stadium, Santry, Dublin 9

14.    Qualification for entry into the prize draw for the chance to win one of four Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium events is classed as completion of one 100m race at the OYM event with the official race time recorded via Electronic Timing by Athletics Ireland officials present.

15.    At each of the four OYM Qualification Events, the official Powerade race numbers of all qualifying Entrants for that particular event will be placed in a Draw & one regional winner from each of the four regions will be awarded a place at the Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience on 3rd May. The Winners must be available to attend on 2nd and 3rd May. The Winners will also be allowed to bring one guest to the event. Guests will attend as spectators only, and will not take part in the activities on the track in the Olympic Stadium. In the case of a winner under 18 years of age, the guest must be the required accompanying adult.


16.    The Winner will be required to provide the Promoter with information including their name, a valid Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland home address, phone number and other contact details, proof of ID, notification of any medical conditions, notification of any assistance that may be needed when attending the Olympic Stadium, emergency contact details and consent to LOCOG and selected third parties (including Local Authorities and LOCOG’s Customer Relationship Management Provider, whose servers are based in the United States of America) contacting them regarding their participation in and/or for the purpose of organising the Powerade Olympic Stadium Experience. This may involve background and security checks, including Criminal Records Bureau check.

17.    Winners are responsible for providing correct contact details and information for themselves if and when requested. Inaccurate information may result in the prize being forfeited if the Promoter is unable to contact the winner.

18.    Only the winners of the On Your Marks 100m Competition will be eligible to claim a place at the Olympic Stadium Experience based on that entry. The decision of The Coca-Cola Company is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Stage 3 –Notification:

19.    The Overall Winners of the On Your Marks 100m race competition will be notified in person (if the winner is present) or by telephone call upon completion of the final draw on Saturday 21st April.

20.    Failure to respond to the phone call within 3 days of telephone notification being given may result in your prize being forfeited and the place being offered to another entrant without notification. In this case, the place will be awarded to a substitute chosen randomly through another draw of the Qualifiers.

21.    Following a successful winner phone call, and subject to the details submitted by the winner during that call meeting the terms and conditions of the promotion, the Promoter will require the winner to verify all submitted personal information. This will include the requirement for the entrant to:

i.    Complete an Olympic Stadium Experience Participation Agreement Form.

ii.    Provide any other documentation (including proof of identity and address), as required by LOCOG.

iii.    Consent to all background and/or other security checks, as required by LOCOG. This may include a Criminal Records Bureau check.

22.    Due to the timescales associated with the promotion, this information must be turned round in a timely manner. Failure to respond with the correct information by Wednesday 25th April may result in the non-participation of the entrant in the prize experience.

Stage 4 –Participation:

23.    The Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience event will take place on Thursday 3rd May at the London 2012 Olympic Stadium in London. Winners will need to arrive in London in the afternoon on Wednesday 2nd May, so should ensure they are available on both days. Hotel accommodation will be provided for the winners and their guest (or accompanying adult) on the night of Wednesday 2nd May – this will be a twin room.

24.    Travel arrangements for the Winner & guest to and from London will be provided (Flights to London & transfers to the designated hotel in London only) by Coca-Cola Ireland.

25.    The Winner and guest will need to arrive at the designated hotel in East London by 15:00 on Wednesday 2nd May. The Promoter will arrange reasonable meals, snacks and transfers from this point.

26.    The Olympic Stadium Experience will end at approximately 13:30 on Thursday 3rd May. After this time, the winner and guest will be transferred back to the relevant airport for the flights home.
 
27.    The Olympic Stadium Experience event will include a briefing and informational talk from a qualified athletics coach, demonstrations by a professional athlete, the opportunity for the winners to run the 100m on the Olympic Stadium track, photos of the event, and gift bags for winners. Please note: Derval O’ Rourke will be attending the Olympic Stadium Experience to share your experience and give tips & advice on the day.

28.    Full details of the event will be communicated directly to winners once chosen.

29.    Following the Four regional events (Sligo, Antrim, Cork and Dublin) one prize draw winner  from each of the four regions will be awarded a place at the Powerade London 2012 Olympic Stadium Experience on 3rd May. General

32.    The Promoter's decision is final in all matters pertaining to the promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.

2.    The promotion in Republic of Ireland is in conjunction with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

3.    If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or in the spirit of the promotion, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion refuse to accept an entry. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter may at its absolute discretion disqualify any entrant found to be tampering with the entry process or operation or to be acting in any manner disruptive to the promotion.

4.    Limitations of liability: insofar as permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:-

i.    Any incorrect or inaccurate entry, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions;
ii.    Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion;
iii.    Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof;
iv.    Any injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion;
